Resident Evil

I have a confession: I've never played any of the Resident Evil games. However, that did not stop me from enjoying Resident Evil. I didn't get all the references (but did have a sense that what I was seeing was one), but I think director Zach Cregger did an excellent job of making a good horror film based on the intellectual property, rather than simply adapting it straight. I also think that the humor was perfectly balanced, without making it feel too shticky.
